“Trio colorato” – Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg

with Agnese Nikolovska (flute), Carlo Jans (flute), Stéphane Giampellegrini (cello).

The Trio colorato was founded in 2014 with the aim to represent the three countries Italy, Latvia and Luxembourg as a musical ambassador. The repertoire of the ensemble spans from the repertoire of baroque music to contemporary pieces, including Italian, Latvian and Luxembourgish composers. The Trio colorato is a colourful mixture of Latvian, Italian and Luxemburgish music not only because the music was written by composers from those three countries, but also because of the national background of the performing musicians, the flutist Agnese Nikolovska, the flutist Carlo Jans and the violoncellist Stephane Giampellegrini. Based in Luxembourg, the trio has performed many concerts and participated in various festivals in Latvia, Luxembourg, Greece and the USA.
